Afsana divides some sweets among A and B in the ratio 8:13. If B gets 520 sweets, how many sweets will A get?
Given :
Sweets divided among A and B in the ratio of 8:13.
B gets 520 sweets.
To do :
We have to find the number of sweets A gets.
Solution :
Let the number of sweets A and B get be 8x and 13x respectively.
$13x = 520$
$x = \frac{520}{13}$
$x = 40$
$8x = 8 \times 40 = 320$
Therefore, the number of sweets which A get is 320.
