Solution:

Amount which Adi had = 50₹

Spends $\frac{2}{5}$th of amount,

$\frac{2}{5} \times$  50  =  2 $\times$ 10  = 20                                              (5 * 10  =  50)

So,

 a) Amount spend = 20 ₹

Amount left  = 50 - 20  =  30

b )  Amount left = 30 ₹
