(a) How much money does he spend?
(b) How much money is left?

Given:

Total amount Ali had = Rs. 50

To do:

We have to find the amount spent and the amount left.

Solution:

Amount spent =Rs. $\frac{2}{5}$ of 50

                           =Rs. $\frac{2}{5}\times50$

                           =Rs. $2\times10=20$

Amount spent = Rs. 20

Amount left = Total amount Ali had  $-$  Amount spent

Amount left = Rs. $50 - 20 =Rs. 30$

Amount left = Rs. 30.
