Add the following:
(a) $ (-7)-8-(-25) $
(b) $ (-13)+32-8-1 $
(c) $ (-7)+(-8)+(-90) $
(d) $ 50-(-40)-(-2) $
To do:
We have to add the given expressions.
Solution:
We know that,
$[(-)\times(-)=(+)\times(+)=(+)]$
$[(-)\times(+)=(+)\times(-)=(-)]$
(a) $ (-7)-8-(-25)=-7-8+25$
$=25-(7+8)$
$=25-15$
$=10$
(b) $(-13)+32-8-1=32-(13+8+1)$
$=32-22$
$=10$
(c) $(-7)+(-8)+(-90)=-(7+8+90)$
$=-105$
(d) $50-(-40)-(-2)=50+40+2$
$=92$
