Given: A snail covers a distance of 100 meters in 15 hours

To find:  the average speed of snail in kilometer/hour

Solution:

Distance covered by snail = 100 m = $\frac{100}{1000}$

= 0.1 km    as 1000 m = 1km

The time taken by the snail to cover that distance = 15 hours

The average speed of the snail = $\frac{Total distance covered}{Total time taken} $

                                                 = $\frac{0.1 km}{15 hr} $= 0.0067 km/hr
