A Room Is 15m Long And 9m Broad Find The Cost Of Carpenting The Room Wih Carpent 75cm Broad At Find The Rate Rs10per.m
Given:
A room Is 15m Long And 9m Broad.
To do: Find the cost of carpeting the room with carpet 75cm broad at the rate Rs10 per m.
Solution:
Area of room = L $\times$ B
= length $\times$ breadth
= 15 $\times$ 9
= 135 sq m
Breadth of carpet = 75 cm = 0.75m
Length of the carpet required = $\frac{135}{0.75}$ = 180m
Rate = Rs 10/m.
So, cost of carpeting the room = 180 $\times$ 10 = Rs 1800
