A rectangle has a length 15 cm and the perimeter is 50 cm. Find the breadth of the rectangle.

Given:

Length of rectangle = 15 cm

Perimeter of rectangle  =  50 cm

To do:

Breadth of rectangle =?

Solution :

Perimeter of Rectangle = 2 (length $+$ breadth)

Substitute the given values in the above formula,

50  =  2 (15 $+$ breadth)

$\frac{50}{2}=$(15 $+$ breadth)

25  =  15 $+$ breadth

$25-15$ =  breadth

Breadth = 10 cm

The breadth of the rectangle is 10 cm.
