A parallelogram whose all sides are equal opposite angles are equal opposite sides are parallel is called a rhombus. Why? Why not square?
Given :
It is given that opposite angles are equal and opposite sides are parallel.
To do :
We have to show that the given parallelogram is rhombus, not a square.
Solution :
We know that in a square all the angles are equal to 90°. In the given information it is not mentioned whether the angles are equal to 90° or not.
Therefore, a parallelogram whose all sides are equal opposite angles are equal opposite sides are parallel is a rhombus.
