A merchant had Rs.80290 with him. He placed an order for purchasing 50 ceiling fans at Rs.1200 each. How much money will remain with him after the purchase?
Given:
A merchant had Rs.80290 with him.
He placed an order for purchasing 50 ceiling fans at Rs.1200 each.
To do:
We have to find out the money left after the purchase of 50 ceiling fans at Rs.1200 each.
Solution:
According to the question, we have,
Total Amount = Rs.80290
Number of fans = 50
Cost of each fan = Rs.1200
Now,
Cost of 50 fans = Rs.1200 $\times$ 50 = Rs.60,000
Money left with the merchant after purchasing 50 fans = Rs. 80,290 $-$ 60,000 = Rs.20,290.
