A man bought 360 eggs at ₹ 12 per dozen. 60 eggs were broken and 30 eggs were rotten. Find his profit or loss percent, if he sells the rest of the eggs at ₹ 15 per dozen.
Dear Shivani,
30 dozens 30x12 =360 eggs.
So the Total Cost Price was 30x12= Rs 360.
Substracting the broken and rotten ones from the Total number of eggs bought,
360-(60+30)=Rs270
i.e, 22.5 dozens.
The Total Selling Price= 22.5x15
= Rs. 337.5
Rs337.5
Therefore, it is a loss.
Therefore, Loss Percent= {(360-337.5)÷360}x 100 %
= 6.25%
