A machine is bought for ₹3800 and ₹700 is paid for loading and it is sold for ₹3800. Find the percentage of gain or loss.Â
Given :
The cost price of a machine $= 3800$.
Transportation charges $= 700$.
The selling price of a machine $= 3800$.
To do :
We have to find the gain or loss percentage.
Solution :

Cost price $+$ Transportation charges $= 3800 + 700 = 4500$.
Seling price $=3800$.
So, there occurred a loss.
Loss % $= \frac{700}{4500} \times 100$
$=\frac{700}{45}=15.55$
Therefore, the percentage of loss is 15.55%
