In Binary fission, the parent cell gets split into two halves, each half forms identical daughter cells of the same size. It takes place in unicellular organisms.	Multiple fission is a process in which the nucleus of a parent cell divides repeatedly, producing a large number of nuclei and numerous, similar-sized, and identical daughter cells.
Amoeba and Leishmania reproduce by binary fission.	Plasmodium reproduces by multiple fission.

(b) When a mature Spirogyra filament attains considerable length, it breaks up into smaller fragments or pieces and each fragment grows into a new individual.
