A light and a heavy body have equal kinetic energy. Which one is moving fast ?
Let $m_1$ and $m_2$ be the masses of light and heavy body respectively. $v_1$ an d$v_2$ are the velocities of light and heavy body respectively.
Then , Kinetic energy of light body$=\frac{1}{2}m_1v_1^2$
Kinetic energy of heavy body$=\frac{1}{2}m_2v_2^2$
As given kinetic energy of both light and heavy body are equal.
Therefore, $\frac{1}{2}m_1v_1^2=\frac{1}{2}m_2v_2^2$
As $m_1 Therefore, $v_1>v_2$ Thus, the velocity of light body is more than that of heavy body. That's why the light body body is moving fast.
