A labour gets Rs. 675 for nine days work. How many days should he worked to get Rs. 900?

Given:

A labour gets Rs. 675 for nine days work.

To do:

We have to find the number of days he should work to get Rs. 900.

Solution:

Amount he gets for 9 days of work = Rs. 675

Amount he gets for 1 day of work = $Rs. \frac{675}{9}$

Let the number of he takes to get Rs. 900 be x.

This implies,

Amount he gets in x days = $Rs.  x \times \frac{675}{9}$

$900=\frac{675x}{9}$

$x=\frac{900\times9}{675}$

$x=\frac{8100}{675}$

$x=12$

Therefore, he should work for 12 days to get Rs. 900.
