A jar contains 12 red balls, 4 blue balls, and 4 green balls. What is the probability of getting a green ball?
Given :
A jar contains 12 red balls, 4 blue balls, and 4 green balls.
To do :
We have to find the probability of getting a green ball.
Solution :
Number of green balls $=4$
Tota number of balls $= 12+4+4=20$
Probability $= \frac{Number of green balls}{Total number of balls}$
$= \frac{4}{20}$
$=\frac{1}{5}$
Therefore, the probability of getting a green ball is $\frac{1}{5}$.
