Explanation
Using Fleming's left-hand rule here, we find that the force on the wire will act vertically upward. 
According to this rule, when left hand's thumb, index finger and middle finger are held mutually perpendicular to one another, the index finger represents the direction of the magnetic field, the middle finger represents the direction of the current and the thumb represents the direction of the force experienced by the wire.
