A football is bought for Rs.120 and sold for Rs. 105.

To do :

We have to find the percentage of loss.

Solution :

Therefore,

Loss $= Rs. 120 - Rs. 105 = Rs. 15$

Loss percentage $= \frac{15}{120} \times 100$%

                              $= \frac{5}{4} \times 10$%

                             $ = \frac{25}{2}$%

                             $= 12 \frac{1}{2}$%.

Therefore, the loss percentage is $12 \frac{1}{2}$%.
