A fan is marked at rupees 625 . During the winter season, the shopkeeper allow discount and sell the fan for rupees 562.50.find the discount percent allowed
Given:
A fan is marked at rupees 625 . During the winter season, the shopkeeper allow discount and sell the fan for rupees 562.50.
To do:
We have to find the discount percent allowed.
Solution:
MP $=Rs.\ 625$
SP $=Rs.\ 562.50$
We know that,
Discount $=MP-SP$
$=Rs.\ (625-562.50)$
$=Rs.\ 62.50$
Discount $ \%= \frac{Discount}{MP} \times 100$
$=\frac{62.50}{625}\times100$
$=10 \%$
The discount percent allowed is $10 \%$.
