A current of 5 amperes flows through a wire whose ends are at a potential difference of 3 volts. Calculate the resistance of the wire.

To find:

Resistance, R

Solution:

According to ohm's law:

$\mathrm{R}=\frac{\mathrm{V}}{\mathrm{I}}$

$\mathrm{R}=\frac{\mathrm{3}}{\mathrm{5}}$

R = 0.6 ohm
