Given: A cooling machine requires that room temperature to be lowered from 50°C at the rate of 5°C every hour.

To find: We have to find the room temperature after 8hrs after the process begins.

Solution:

Starting temperature = 50 C

Rate of cooling = 5 C every hour

Temperature after 1 hour = 50 - 1 $\times$ 5 = 45 C

Temperature after 2 hours 50 - 2 $\times$ 5 =  40 C

Similarly, temperature after 8 hours = 50 - 8 $\times$ 5 = 50 - 40 = 10 C
