Solution:

The ratio of the division$=9:13$

Let the first part be $9x$ and second part be $13x$ 

Second part$13x=260$           [As given second part$=₹\ 260$]

$\Rightarrow x=\frac{260}{13}=20$

Therefore total amount $=9x+13x=22x$

$=22\times20=₹\ 440$

Thus, total amount is $₹\ 440$.
