A car increases its speed from 10m/s to 30 m/s with an acceleration of 5m/s2. What is the time taken by the car to do so?
Given: Car increases its speed from 10m/s to 30 m/s with an acceleration of 5m/s2
To find: Time taken by the car to increase speed.
Solution:
Initial speed u = 10m/s
Final speed v = 30 m/s
Acceleration a = 5m/s2
We know: v = u + at
So,
$30 = 10 + 5 \times t$
$30-10 = \times t$
$\frac{30-10}{5} =t$
We get t = 4 seconds
