An ampere is the unit of current. Current is the rate of flow of electric charge in an electric circuit.
An electric current of 1 ampere is said to flow through an electric circuit if a charge of 1 coulomb flows per second through the circuit.
So 1 Ampere = 1 Coulomb/second
