  2. Write a few lines on the five steps involved in the process of nutrition in animals i.e. Ingestion, Digestion, Absorption, Assimilation, and Egestion.

  4. Starfish is a slow-moving marine animal. Discuss.

  5. The digestive system in human beings consists of two major parts. What are those parts?

  6. Discuss the digestive system of human beings.

  7. What happens to the food in different parts of the digestive tract?

  8. Write a note on the four types of teeth.

  9. What is the meaning of milk teeth?

  10. What are the major reasons for tooth decay?

  11. What happens if we eat in a hurry or talk/laugh while eating?

12. Stomach does not digest itself, why?

13. Write a few lines on the liver, gall bladder, and pancreas.

29. Windpipe runs adjacent in the food pipe. What will happen if food particles enter the windpipe?

30. We take one teaspoonful of boiled rice in a test tube “A” and one teaspoonful of boiled and chewed rice in a test tube “B”.  Add 3-4 ml. of water to both the test tubes.  Then pour 2-3 drops of iodine solution into the test tubes. What color change will you observe and why?
