We have to find the total length of cloth bought by her.
Solution:
Length of cloth for shirt$=3\ m\ 20\ cm$.
Length of cloth for trousers$=2\ m\ 5\ cm$.
Therefore,
Total length of cloth $=3\ m\ 20\ cm + 2\ m\ 5\ cm$
$=(3+2)\ m\ (20+5)\ cm$
$=5\ m\ 25\ cm$
$=(5+0.25)\ m$
$=5.25\ m$
The total length of cloth bought by Nasreen is $5.25\ m$.
