Make five more examples and find the greater number from them.
To do:
We have to make five more examples and find the greater number from them.
Solution:
(a) $0.5=\frac{5}{10}$ and $0.8=\frac{8}{10}$
8 is greater than 5.
This implies,
$\frac{8}{10}$ is greater than $\frac{5}{10}$.
Therefore, 0.8 is greater than 0.5.
(b) $0.01=\frac{1}{100}$ and $0.09=\frac{9}{100}$
9 is greater than 1.
This implies,
$\frac{9}{100}$ is greater than $\frac{1}{100}$.
Therefore, 0.09 is greater than 0.01.
(c) $4=\frac{40}{10}$ and $0.7=\frac{7}{10}$
40 is greater than 7.
This implies,
$\frac{40}{10}$ is greater than $\frac{7}{10}$.
Therefore, 4 is greater than 0.7.
(d) $0.3=\frac{30}{100}$ and $0.03=\frac{3}{100}$
30 is greater than 3.
This implies,
$\frac{30}{100}$ is greater than $\frac{3}{100}$.
Therefore, 0.3 is greater than 0.03.
(e) $2.1=\frac{210}{100}$ and $2.10=\frac{210}{100}$
Therefore, 2.1 is equal to 2.10.
