This course is not only about enabling HR professionals to use Microsoft Excel to develop dashboards, but it will help them to formulate data analysis plans, execute the data evaluation and data cleansing process, and learn the sophisticated Excel functions.
This course is optional for people just thinking of starting with Excel.
Our approach to the course will be:
Planning the analysis job; is one of the most crucial aspects of data analysis. We will start with understanding the potential user, identifying their needs, and describing the necessary KPIs.
Once we have the user's requirements, we will initiate the data evaluation, understanding, and cleansing process. In this phase, we will see the information available to us. We will understand how the available information meets our requirements. We will use Excel formulas to create helper columns and drive the information we may need for analysis. We will learn DatedIff, If, Today, Vlookup, Round, and many other formulas.
After creating the helper columns, we will make the reports in PivotTables. Finally, participants will learn the sophisticated functions available in PivotTables.
Ultimately, this is the time to create a robust dashboard to present the data story in graphs. In addition, we will incorporate interactivity in the dashboards by using slicers, etc.
