To do:

To give two examples of each of the situations in which we push or pull to change the state of motion of objects.

Solution:

Let us know what are push and pull forces with their definitions and examples:

Push force:

Push is a type of force that causes an object to move away from the person who is applying a force on the object.

Examples of push force:

1) A heavy box at rest is pushed to move it from one place to another. This changes the state of the box from rest to motion.
2) A player pushes a football using his foot. This changes the state of the ball from rest to motion.

Pull force:
Pull is a type of force that causes an object to move toward the person who is applying a force on the object.
Examples of pull force:
1) Rope is pulled to draw water from a well. This changes the state of motion of the water bucket.
2) A door is pulled to open it. This changes the state of motion of the door.
