# Find the value of $ k $, if $ x=2, y=1 $ is a solution of the equation $ 2 x+3 y=k $

Given:

$x=2$, $y=1$ is the solution of the equation $2x+3y=k$.

**To do:**

We have to find the value of $k$.

**Solution:**

According to the question,

$x=2$, $y=1$ is the solution of the equation $2x+3y=k$.

Now,

Let us substitute $x=2$, $y=1$ in the equation $2x+3y=k$

We get,

$2(2)+3(1)=k$

This implies,

$4+3=k$

$7=k$

Therefore,

$k=7$

**The value of $k$ is $7$.**
