Find the mean of the first five whole numbers.

Given:

First five whole numbers.

To do:

We have to find the mean of the first five whole numbers.

Solution:

We know that,

Mean $=\frac{ \text {Sum of the observations }}{ \text { Number of observations }}$

Therefore,

The mean of the first five whole numbers $=\frac{0+1+2+3+4}{5}$

$=\frac{10}{5}$

$=2$

Hence, the mean of the first five whole numbers is $2$.
