The  side of square park $ = 250\ m$

We know that,

The perimeter of a square with side $a$ is $4a$.

Therefore,

The perimeter of square park $ = 4\times$ each side of the square park

$= 4\times250$

$= 1000\ m$

Since,

The cost of fencing the square park $ = Rs.\ 20\ per\ m$

The cost of fencing the square park for $1000\ m =  Rs.\ 20\times1000$

$ = Rs.\ 20,000$

The cost of fencing the square park of side 250 m at the rate of Rs. 20 per metre is $Rs.\ 20,000$.
