A vendor supplies 32 litres of milk to a hotel in the morning and 68 litres of milk in the evening. If the milk costs ₹ 45 per litre, how much money is due to the vendor per day?

Given:

Milk supplied in the morning $= 32\ L$

Milk supplied in the evening $= 68\ L$

Cost of 1 L milk $= Rs.\ 45$

To do:

We have to find the total money that is due to the vendor per day.

Solution:

Total amount of milk supplied in a day $=$ Milk supplied in the morning $+$ Milk supplied in the evening

$=(32+68)\ L$

$= 100\ L$

Therefore,

The cost of 100 L milk $= Rs.\ 45\times 100$

$=Rs.\ 4500$

The total money that is due to the vendor per day is Rs. 4500.
