Creating a blur effect for an object in Avid Xpress

A common task is to blur out an object within a moving frame of video.


The process sounds simple, but if you do not have After Effects or some other compositing plug-in, you might want to learn the necessary steps using Avid Xpress Pro in case your in a jam.

One of the easiest way's to create a mask is to use the Avid Marquee title tool. For those of you who have an older version of Avid Xpress, you can also use the standard title tool.
