Description:
1. Open a New document in Illustrator. Using a thick font, I used the font Impact, I chose red for the color. Type your text. Go to TYPE, CREATE OUTLINES.2. Duplicate the layer with the red text. Hide the top layer, select the bottom layer. Change the color to blue.
3. Select the text and Go to EFFECT, PATH, OFFSET PATH. With the blue text still selected go to OBJECT, EXPAND APPEARANCE. Then go to WINDOW, PATHFINDER. In the Pathfinder window click on MERGE.
