PHP - imap_rfc822_write_address() Function



PHP−IMAP functions helps you to access email accounts, IMAP stands for Internet Mail Access Protocol using these functions you can also work with NNTP, POP3 protocols and local mailbox access methods.

The imap_rfc822_write_address() function accepts three string values representing the mailbox name, host name and, owner name as parameters and returns the formatted email address.

Syntax

imap_rfc822_write_address($mailbox, $host, $personal);

Parameters

This is a string value representing the addresses.

host (Mandatory)

This is a string value representing the hostname.

Personal (Mandatory)

This is a string value representing the name of the account owner.

Return Values

This function returns a string value holding the formatted email address.

PHP Version

This function was first introduced in PHP Version 4 and works in all the later versions.
