PHP - XSLTProcessor::setParameter() Function

Definition and Usage

XML is a mark-up language to share the data across the web, XML is for both human read-able and machine read-able. XSL extension is an implementation of the XSL standard to perform XSTL transformation using the libxslt library.

The XSLTProcessor::setParameter() function is used to set value for parameter(s) of the current transformation.

Syntax

XSLTProcessor::setParameter($namespace, $name, $value);

Parameters

namespace(Mandatory)

This is a string value representing the URI of the XSLT parameter.

name(Mandatory)

This is a string value representing the name of the XSLT parameter.

value(Mandatory)

This is a string representing the value of the XSLT parameter.

Return Values

This function returns a boolean value which is TRUE incase of success and FALSE incase of failure.

PHP Version

This function was first introduced in PHP Version 5 and works in all the later versions.

Following is an example of this function −

sample.xml:
