Description:

Today, this tutorial is a little bit more, but the complicated steps can reach the more magical effect: spooklight.

Step 1, Open the material "David Beckham.jpg" and copy the "blackground" to "layer 1". Make the "layer 1"carry out "Filter-Stylize-Glowing Edges” and "Desaturate".

Step 2, Switch to "channels" control panel and move the mouse to "RGB" color channel while pressing the "Ctrl + the left key of the mouse " to get the white selection. Switch to "paths" and click "make work path from selection" button and then the selection is transformed into work path.

Step 3, In order to observe the effect easily, a new blank layer is created and fill it black. As shown in figure.

The new created layer is named "1" and the brush is white. Press "F5" and the parameters are as shown in figure. In the work path, click the right key to carry out "stroke path".

Step 4, The new created layer is named "2" and the brush is white. Press "F5" and the parameters are as shown in figure. Continue to do "stroke path".

Step 5, The new created layer is named "3" and the brush is white. Press "F5" and the parameters are as shown in figure. Continue to do "stroke path".

Step 6, Copy "blackground" layer to "layer 3”, and make the "layer 3" carry out "Filter-Stylize-Glowing Edges" and "Desaturate". The rest of the process is very simple, but the description is very tedious, please look at the following process.

  1. Filter - Stylize - Glowing Edges

  2. Image - Adjustments - Desaturate

  3. Image - Adjustments - Levels

  4. Use the Highlight Mode of the "dodge tool" tool to daub the not obvious outline out, such as the eyebrows, nose, etc.

  5. Use "channels" to get the white selection and press "CTRL" key while clicking the "RGB".

  6. Return to "Layers," and hide "layer 3". Make the current layer switch back to "blackground" layer.

  7. For example, make the selection directly copy "blackground" layer. Name the copied layer "line" and move it to the upside of "layer
2" as well as open the visibility of "layer2".

  8. Image - Adjustments - Levels

  9. Click "Add layer mask" on the "line" layer and use "mask" to remove the thick line of the outermost.

Step 7, Press "CTRL + shift + the left key of the mouse” and click the "layer 1, layer 2 and layer 3" respectively. Then get the common selection and make the current editing layer switch to "blackground".

Step 8,Use the selection to copy "blackground" layer and name the copied layer "point". Move point" layer to the upside of "line"layer and reduce the "opacity" of "line" layer to "60%".

Step 9, Carry out "Image-Mode-Grayscale" successively and click "Merge" in the appeared hint window. Then carry out "Image - Mode - Indexed Color" and carry out "Image-Mode-Color table" at last.

Choose "Black body” of the "Table" in "Color table".

Step 10, Carry out "Image-Mode-RGB Color" successively and then carry out "Image-Adjustments-Replace Color". At that time, the current tool automatically changes to "Eyedropper tool" and absorb the “bright red" in the picture as the replaced color as well as replace it with "orange". In this way, the whole hue will be harmonious, parameters:

Step 11, Carry out "Select - Color range" successively and use the " Eyedropper tool" to absorb the black part of the picture to get the orange election. The parameters are as follows.

Then copy the content of the election to the new layer and carry out "Filter - Blur - Gaussian Blur".

Change the blending mode to "Screen” and then merge the two layers.

Step 12, Embellishment, parameters are as shown in figure:

  1. Image - Adjustments - Color balance

  2. Image - Adjustments - Selective color

  3. Image - Adjustments - Levels
