Description:

Learn how to distort text and have it take on a certain shape, a shape that you can define.

Using the Type tool, type out some text.

Using the Pen Tool, draw a jaggedy path around the text you just typed.

Select both the text and the jaggedy path and then go to Object > Envelope Distort > Make with Top Object.    More detail...
