1. Pull down View > Customize. A dialog box appears. While this dialog is open, almost any interface element can be customized.2. To delete an unused item, just pull it outside its bar or right-click on it and use the context menu. For example, if you don't work with vector objects, feel free to discard "Objects" menu and the Pen Tool.
