In this Flash actionscript 3.0 tutorial you will see how to dynamically create a textfield on the stage, giving it properties and add some styling to it, all done with actionscripting.

As I just mentioned, this is an actionscript tutorial, so we do not need to do anything in design view, only thing I did was to change the stage height and width to 200 x 100 px.    More detail...
