HTML <legend> tag

Function:

The HTML <legend> tag is used to define a caption for <fieldset> tag.

Difference between HTML and XHTML:

The align attribute is deprecated in HTML as well as in XHTML.

Example:

<fieldset style="text-align:right;">
<legend><b>Address Details</b></legend>
Name <input type="text" />
Address <input type="text" />
City <input type="text" />
State <input type="text" />
</fieldset>

This will produce following result:

Address Details Name
Address
City
State
